Last night, I attended Conversations among Women hosted by Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. It was truly an inspiring evening which had me thinking long into the night.
At the center of my musings was the concept of building coalitions. How the network of support around us makes professional life possible. How asking for help and being of help is EVERYTHING.
So this is both a shout-out to my team and an invitation to you to assess your coalition. Who is on your team? Do you have the support you need to make it all work? If not, what would it take for you to get it?
My thanks to:
Susan Eichhorn Young, the woman who keeps my voice on track.
My Laryngologist and his incredible SLP staff at The Voice Center
James Myers, my accompanist and accomplice
My office community at Impact Hub Boston
My dear friend and professional support guru, Tamsen Webster
My partner Karl
My ride or die posse: Elizabeth, Pilar, and Tru
